Centro Congressi MiCo / MiCo Convention Centre

Il Centro Congressi di Milano MiCo si situa all’interno dell’esistente padiglione 6 di Fiera Milano City. Con i suoi 18.000 posti a sedere suddivisi in 70 sale modulari e un auditorium da 1.500 posti e una sala plenaria da 5000 posti è il centro congressi più grande d’Europa. Per la ridefinizione delle parti interne, in funzione del suo adeguamento alle attività convegnistiche, sono seguiti i seguenti criteri: ottenere una continuità con il Centro Convegni del Padiglione 17; mantenere le strutture edilizie dell’esistente realizzando le trasformazioni delle parti interne mediante strutture leggere e modulari; rispondere alle attuali esigenze funzionali delle attività convegnistiche ed espositive.

The Convention Centre of Milano MiCo is located inside the existing Pavilion 6 of the Fiera Milano City. With its 18,000 seats subdivided into 70 modular rooms, an auditorium with 1,500 seats, and a plenary chamber with 5,000 seats, it is the biggest convention centre in Europe. For the redefinition of the internal spaces, in relation to their adjustment to the convention activities, the following criteria have been respected: to achieve a continuity with the Convention Centre of Pavilion 17; to maintain the building bodies of the existing, realizing the transformations of the internal sections through light and modular structures; to respond to the present functional exigencies of the convention and exhibition activities.
